York Steakhouse

The first York Steak House opening in 1966 by Berndt Gros and Eddie Grayson. York Steak House quickly became a family favorite. As the chain expanded the company was purchased by General Mills. At the time of the acquisition, York had approx. 100 units. York Steak house began popping up in shopping malls around the country. But after a decline in America’s malls, many York Steak House locations were closed. There’s only one left in the world, and we’re so lucky that it’s right here on 4220 W Broad St, Columbus, OH 43228

Jay Bettin, bought the last York Steak House in 1989.
