Ramón Gallardo was the founder of the Casa Gallardo, the first location was very successful and before the second location opened, General Mills gave him a a multimillion-dollar buyout. Casa Gallardo expanded to more than 30 locations in the US. The first Columbus location opened on Jan 13 1981 on South Hamilton Road. A second location opened in Northland Mall.
General Mill converted them to Olive Gardens.
